By definition, superintendents are leaders. They work relentlessly on behalf of their students, defining the vision and goals for the district, and maximizing the resources of their schools and community to ensure those objectives are achieved for the best interests of the students their district serves.

Much like a thermostat can change an environment’s temperature, a superintendent continuously monitors the condition of the district and adjusts accordingly to ensure a profound and positive impact on the success of every student.

Jim Chadwell’s intuition and commitment are helping create a passion for continuous achievement in the students of Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent School District.

Chadwell, a three-time TCU graduate, earned a bachelor’s degree in political science in 1991, a Master of School Administration in 1996, followed by a Doctor of Education in 2010—the same year he joined Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD as superintendent. Throughout his 23-year career, he has received a Fulbright Scholarship to study in Altötting, Germany; High School Principal of the Year by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals; Texas Educational Theatre Association Administrator of the Year; and Career and Technology Association of Texas – Area 2 Administrator of the Year.
