CICA Museum features work of Fine Arts Senior Casey Leone

Casey Leone, a senior Fine Arts student, utilized 400 of the original 3,000 film stills from Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window and systematically altered them for her “From the Series Voids” exhibition featured in the Concept Winter 2016: Second International Exhibition on Conceptual Art at the Czong Institute for Contemporary Art in South Korea.

One of 33 artists featured, Leone explores the themes of isolation, identity and tension through the use of elusive imagery. She distorts subjects and objects to make them unidentifiable, freeing them from their meaning and allowing them to become isolated objects.

CICA fosters projects of experimental artists and provides a creative space for artists and the community to nurture their creative and critical thinking with visual culture.

The TCU School of Art promotes critical, artistic and intellectual development in its students. A part of the College of Fine Arts, the School of Art encompasses three areas of study: Art History, Art Education and Studio Art.
